Rebellion! exhibition is now open

Thanks again to everyone who has supported our work.

The Rebellion! touring exhibition has now been installed at Newcastle City Library and will be on display there until the end of August.

Rebellion! exhibition by Davenant

The exhibition includes a 28 minute video called ‘A Sound of Thunder’ which covers a range of protest themes. It includes footage of what some have called the ‘state sponsored police riot’ at Orgreave, with audio testimony from people who were present when the police charged. The video also covers the decline of post-industrial communities, misinformation, the rise of the far right, LGBTQ+ rights, climate change, war, peace, and the right to roam. It includes music by John Tams, Bob Fox & Benny Graham, Tom Robinson and Roo Bramley.

Tories Out (F Boris)

The exhibition has been developed in response to the introduction of draconian anti-protest legislation by successive governments. It documents a wide range of protests and presents everyone with dignity even if their views are not aligned with our own.

The Rebellion! zine can be bought in the shop at the library (unsigned) or you can buy it direct from our website here https://marcdavenant.com/product/rebellion-zine/

Hopefully you will find the exhibition interesting. Our new Vancouver Chromes zine has just gone to the printer and will be available later this month.
